* Position and Responsibilities from 1989 to 1999
From 1989 to 1996 Scientific Secretary and from 1996, Executive Secretary, of the EUREKA Environmental Project, EUROTRAC (from 1996: EUROTRAC-2), which is studying the transport and chemical transformation of trace substances and pollutants in the atmosphere over Europe.
The Executive Secretary is responsible for the scientific co-ordination of the project which comprises more than 300 research groups from 30 countries. The work includes the organisation and running of the administrative structure including the International Scientific Secretariat (ISS); organisation of biennial symposia and other meetings and workshops; the editing and preparation of a regular newsletter together with annual reports, symposium proceedings, special scientific publications and the ten volume final report for the first phase; negotiations with the funding agencies from the participating countries to facilitate the work of the secretariat and the project; encouragement and maintenance of relations with the agencies responsible for the atmospheric environment in Europe and North America.

Current Position from 1999
Consultant in atmospheric chemistry with the aim is of providing sound scientific support for the development of environmental policy for the troposphere.

Research Interests
Previous : energy transfer in chemical reactions, studied with shock-tube and discharge-flow techniques; applications of synchrotron radiation in photochemistry.
Current : atmospheric chemistry; the application of results from scientific research in environmental policy development.

Publications More than 100 publications, of which some 70 are in refereed journals, and three books.
